Shop Local at the 10 Best Boutiques in Savannah, GA
Let’s get one thing cleared up, I’m not presuming to be a fashion and lifestyle guru, but I do I enjoy shopping every once in a while. I have been trying to cut out fast fashion so cities like Savannah, which are filled with small boutiques, are a great way to buy a special something. The best part is that every purchase supports local business owners - so it’s win-win!
In downtown Savannah, you’ll find unique shops where you can get great gifts for yourself or, if you’re feeling generous, a loved one. Plus they’re run by friendly local shopkeepers so you’ll get a douse of that Southern Charm. These were my 10 favourite boutiques in Savannah, GA. They’re all located within walking distance of each other in the historic district. They carry an array of clothing, accessories, home decor and random knick knacks. So start swiping!
Midge Clothing and Goods
contemporary clothing and accessories
I was drawn into this store because of the window display and the clean and stylish interior. The owner, Margaret, has great personal style. She explained that she noticed a desire from her clients to buy American-made products, so she only selects pieces that are made in the USA by American designers and workers.
All the clothing and accessories in this boutique are quality pieces. There are a ton of basics made with super-soft material and unique jewelry that will spice up an ordinary outfit.
Standout Items: Handmade jewelry by iSOBEL Jewelry and super comfy tops by LAMade.
Address: 402 W Broughton St. Savannah, GA 31401
Opening Hours: 10am-6pm (Tuesday-Saturday), 1pm-5pm Sunday and Closed on Monday
East & Up
vintage clothing
I often go into vintage stores and leave disappointed because there’s so much sifting that needs to happen before you find a standout piece. At East & Up that was not the case. Everything in the store was quality made and completely wearable. The pieces have a 60s and 70s rock'n roll vibe with a country flare. There were also some brand name labels like Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
The owner, Lisa, does a great job of curating and organizing the store. It’s the kind of place where you can get a vintage experience without the overwhelming need to dig through junk to find the diamond in the rough.
Lisa also delivers worldwide so follow the store on Instagram to see if your dream vintage-rocker tee will pop up.
Standout Items: The wall of vintage cowboy boots.
Address: 6 East Liberty Street Parlor Level, Savannah, GA 31401
Opening Hours: 11am-6pm Wednesday-Saturday, 12pm-5pm Sunday and closed on Monday and Tuesday (Lisa closes for two days to go off in search of pieces for the store).
Satchel
leather goods and handbags
“Handmade leather goods”, is there any phrase more appealing than that one? Ok, maybe “free cheese samples” but this is a close second.
Satchel sells bags in all sizes (travel, messenger, everyday, clutches and wallets) plus an array of accessories like bag tassels, coasters, cuffs and koozies (you know, the sleeve that holds your beer).
The best part about the store is the leather workshop in the back. Here you can watch the satchel-makers hard at work and even place a custom order. Touch the many leather swatches (from Brazil) and peruse the catalogue of designs. Once you’ve picked your leather, lining and hardware you can have it shipped to your doorstep. How perfect?!
Standout Items: The reversible leather cuff bracelets and Sherry wristlet
Address: 4 E. Liberty Street Savannah, Georgia 31401
Opening Hours: 10am-6pm (Monday - Saturday) and 11am-5pm (Sunday)
The Paris Market and Brocante
furniture, houseware, vintage and knick-knacks
If you do any research on best shops in Savannah, this one always pops up. Being married to a Frenchy and a lover of all things French, I clearly had to see what the deal was. I can say that it’s a great place to find French (or French-style) knick-knacks.
As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with a Paris-metro sign and a French café on the right. There is unique jewelry, candles, soaps, home decor, journals, books, and things for the kitchen and entertaining. There are also some French brands, like Laguiole which make quality corkscrews for example. While everything isn’t necessarily imported from France, it all gives off those chic Parisian vibes.
My favourite part of the shop is the antique section in the basement. You can find some really cool French furniture and antique cutlery. If you weren’t planning on budgeting for a new armoire, you can always grab a beautiful coffee table book that will impress your house guests.
At the café you can relax in Parisian bistro chairs and enjoy a coffee bevvy and colourful French macarons. It’s the perfect spot if you dream in Instagram pastels. For more cafe and food options, check out my restaurant guide to Savannah.
Standout Items: The antique coin necklaces, Laguiole corkscrews and antique French cutlery

PW Short General Store
kitchen essentials, home decor and vintage pieces
I stumbled upon this shop because I was intrigued by what a “modern-day general store” would carry. Inside you’ll find an array of spices, oils and syrups along with a ton of kitchen utensils. Everything is a mish-mash of vintage or modern Scandinavian style. The fun continues upstairs where there is vintage furniture and home accessories.
This store is interesting to explore - you may walk out of there with a bowl from the 60’s or a modern Danish pepper grinder.
