My Artist Statement
My travel photography is a personal and intimate portrayal of a city, town or country. It’s a chance to freeze a scene that touched me in some way. Whether it’s an otherworldly landscape or the smile of a stranger, I aim to capture what makes the destination unique in the world.
Having shot throughout Asia, Europe, North and South America, I look at natural and man-made landscapes, architecture, nature and most importantly - the people. All these things inspire me while I travel. They spark a curiosity and openness to other cultures - the thing I would never find if I stayed in the comfort of my home. This thirst for knowledge and understanding is why I take photographs and it’s why I share them.
Through my photography I seek to inspire others to get out and explore. To not be afraid and to be open to different surroundings and cultures. Because in the end, travel is a search for moments which change our way of thinking and broaden our perspective for a more inclusive world.
